In the last course, we learned about the Constitution—the document that established the United States’ new system of government following independence from the British. In particular, we learned about James Madison, the father of the Constitution, who played such an important role in writing the Constitution. We also learned about the Bill of Rights, which guarantees certain rights and protects certain freedoms, which we all still enjoy today.
