In this course, we are going to learn about the Constitution and how the powers of government were separated across the three separate branches of government: (1) the legislative branch, which is responsible for making laws, (2) the executive branch, which is responsible for executing laws, and (3) the judicial branch, which is responsible for interpreting laws. We will learn about the Bill of Rights, which lists other rights and freedoms that are guaranteed for all Americans. We will also learn about why the 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights established the concept of separation between church and state.
