Get Ready to Learn

Today we are going to take an imaginary adventure. I think settling on Mars is a great idea. There could be creatures there that might want to trade with me and be fxcsriendly, or not…there might be loads of gold underground…there would be lots of space for everyone…there could be new and weird animals or plants there… is there a good location to land my spaceship and build a house… I need more information before I pack up my family and go. Will you go and check it out for me?

To survive a trip like this means you must be very brave and be prepared for everything that you can think of. There is no one to help you if you get in trouble. There are no grocery stores, no hospitals, and no spaceship repair shops. This is very much like the adventure that the president Thomas Jefferson asked Lewis and Clark to take to explore the land route to the Pacific coast.
